    The Dolphin Project is hosting an educational and entertaining dolphin program and training workshop via ZOOM.  Training will last under 3 hours and will consist of two parts. 

     Part ONE - focuses on the coastal environment which is home to the estuarine Bottlenose dolphins. This program will go into detail about the anatomy and behaviors of these amazing animals with video and audio.

     Part TWO - covers the protocol of the Photo-ID research surveys and additional information about the dolphins as it relates to the research and surveys.  Training is open to all ages, however, to participate in a survey, you must be at least 16 years of age. Survey Crews consist of a Photographer, a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader and Skipper.   To participate in research surveys, both parts of the ZOOM program must be completed.

     Not all members of The Dolphin Project choose to participate in surveys. Other options of participation include Education Outreach events and serving on various committees. TDP goes on the road presenting to organizations and schools and participates in festivals and works with other like-minded environmental organizations.

    Conference


    The State of the Georgia Coast is a conference dedicated to the future of our coast. Hosted by UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant and partners, this three-day event will take place Feb. 11 – 13, 2026 at the Richmond Hill City Center and brings together leading experts in marine science, policy, and resource management with coastal residents, community leaders, and industry professionals. Our collective mission is to identify pressing challenges, share innovative research and solutions, and foster collaborative partnerships essential for building a thriving, resilient coast.

    Organized around the theme, “Local Solutions, Regional Resilience, and National Leadership,” the event will spotlight Georgia-specific case studies, build partnerships across public, private, and academic sectors, and engage policymakers to align national priorities with local needs.

    SEAMAMMS is a regional, scientific marine mammal meeting that is open to all presenters and is very student-oriented. Preference will be given to marine mammal research conducted in the mid-Atlantic and southeast US or conducted by students and other researchers from this region.   Those interested in coastal East Coast & Gulf of America marine science are welcome to attend.

    Family-friendly event featuring live performances, educational activities, exhibitions and food trucks.

    TDP volunteers are needed to service our exhibit. If you can spare a few hours to work a shift, it would be greatly appreciated. Setup at 2:00PM (1400).
